Students have returned after the vacation full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. They are asking for new lessons and are working hard. In the cultural curriculum, we are studying Canada, Astronomy and the movements of the Earth. Earlier in the month, we had a very successful parent night. Students loved showing their work to their parents.
Our students have been busy learning double digit multiplication with the checkerboard, building the tree of life to learn animal phylums, creating topographical maps of North America and building shapes with the constructive triangles. Students continue to learn botany outside including the parts of the tree. In music, they are performing body percussion and will start to rehearse for their solstice performance. Soon we will celebrate the transition to solar energy with an all school assembly.
